RESCUE CATS

Kearney Rescue Cats was formally organized in the fall of 2020. The success of Lopercats, a group organized in 2015 to care for the feral cats on the University of Nebraska at Kearney campus as well as reduce the population, led to the demand for a similar group in the city of Kearney. The group has grown from just a few people to over 25 involved in trapping, fostering, and raising funds. Kearney Rescue Cats is a Nebraska non-profit corporation with 501 (c) (3) status with the IRS.

Kearney Rescue Cats is focused on humanely reducing the feral cat population in Kearney through the practice of Trap-Neuter-Return and by providing assistance with rescue/re-homing of kittens and cats.
